HOW TO USE: Steep 1 Tbsp. into 1 cup of hot water. Steep for 5-10 min, strain, sip, and savor the warmth. Add milk or sweetener of choice if needed to make it an extra cozy cup of magic. ♦ Cardamom (Elettaria cardamomum) is one of the most ancient species of spice that has ever existed. Great for chest pain and breathing difficulties. Meridians assosiated are liver, spleen and stomach. It helps to improve one’s appetite and helps to relive stomach acidity.

♦ Safflower (Carthamus tinctorius) It is a flowering plant. Best used for Cholesterol and menstrual pain. Heart and liver meridians. Chemical analysis of ancient Egyptian textiles dated to the Twelfth Dynasty (1991–1802 BC) identified dyes made from safflower, and garlands made from safflowers were found in the tomb of the pharaoh Tutankhamun.

The Vesta Story: Known as Westa, Hestia, Estia, Goddess of the Sacred Fire, Heart and Home. Her six Vestal Virgins (virgin in the sense that they belonged to no man – they were “one within”) tended her sacred fire in a round temple in Rome and the Romans offered a prayer. FIrst born to Chronus & Rhea (Juno). Between the 7-9th of June is Vestalia celebrated, Festival of Vesta.

Vestalia is the spirit of ancient Rome, abided in a flame that was kept flickering in the temple of Vesta-the hearth (heart) of the city and the royal palace. The fire was tended by six priestesses, considered to be the “king’s daughters,” who were chosen as children for their nobility and physical perfection. The priestesses or bestial Virgins were held in high regard and lived a life of affluence. However, their high position tion demanded discipline and compromise; they were required to remain celibate for their 30 years of service.

Vesta was discovered in 1807, and is officially classified as a dwarf planet even though it orbits in the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter. Vesta is the brightest asteroid in the sky as well as one of the largest.
