The Onça Day & Night Vision Offerings are celebration of the opposites. Holistic unity of spirit and matter initiated by soap washing and/or lighting a candle as ritual intention. The Day Vision series are dedicated to the spotted Jaguar, symbol of the Sun in the Mayan mythology.

JAGUAR SYMBOLISM

To the ancient peoples of Mesoamerica, the jaguar was more than just an animal; it was divine. The jaguar was believed to be an animal of the stars as well as of the earth, playing a highly prominent role in the mythology of the Aztec and Mexica peoples roughly 700 years ago. Jaguar dens are sometimes found in caves, which linked them to the earth and fertility: The fierce Aztec earth goddess Tlaltecuhtli is often represented with a jaguar’s claws. The cat’s dual nature connected it to transitions, like the daily cycle of the sun rising to usher in the day and setting as it gave way to night. In time the jaguar became absorbed into a complex dual mythology, representing both light and darkness, heaven and earth.

According an Aztec myth, the first sun that shone on humanity was the god Tezcatlipoca, who reigned in the heavens. His brother Quetzalcóatl was envious of his power and tried to usurp him with a heavy blow. Tezcatlipoca, however, did not die but turned into a jaguar instead. Tezcatlipoca sometimes manifested himself as Tepeyóllotl, Heart of the Mountains, because his domains reflected the jaguar. He was found not just in caves and the underworld but also in the night sky, for which the jaguar’s dotted pelt became a symbol.

The Mexica had another myth to explain the animal’s characteristic “stained” pelt: When the gods created the sun and moon, the jaguar was thrown onto the sacred fire and came back to life in the flames with its fur spotted and singed.

1 SOY-WAX CANDLE

100% soy wax to provide a non-toxic, clean burning scented candle was hand poured in painted and glazed handcrafted clay pot. Essential oils were added, since they have the capacity to change the electrical frequency of the body. Essential oils have the highest frequency of any substance known. As living substances, their frequency is harmonic with the human frequency. When we come in contact with them, our body frequency is raised to a degree that we become inhospitable to pathogenic organisms.

Only pure essential oils from Sandalwood, Patchouli, Vanilla, Vetiver, Myrtle Rogue, Black Pepper and Orange were used to create powerful embodying of the solar energy.

Basic description of each Essential Oil:

Sandalwood – relaxer, sweet, lingering and exotic scent
Patchouli – strengthening, earthy, heavy, persistent, woody aroma
Vanilla – uplifting, rich and balsamic aroma
Vetiver – tranquilizer, smoky, woody and earthy
Myrte Rogue – regulator, sweet and penetrating aroma
Black Pepper – warming tonic, relaxing, sharp and spicy scent
Orange – detoxifying, refreshing, citrus scent

The form and the paint of each candle vary. Each piece was individually crafted. Measurements are between 115 to 136 g, weight depending on shape and the size vary between 6,5 to 7,3 ø, with height between 3 to 4 cm. Lit candle is recommended to be burned until the whole wax liquefies before extinguishing it, otherwise the wax will creates “rings”. If rings were created, it is easy to scrub them off the pot walls helping them melt down. It is not desirable to leave the candle untended. After the burning the empty clay candle pot makes great jewelry case.

Please note: As soy wax cools, it can pull away from the pot and create an effect known as “frosting” which looks like air bubbles. This is completely normal and to be expected. In fact, it’s a easy way to tell if your candle is 100% soy, as some companies will add a small amount of paraffin or other additives to eliminate this effect.

SAFFRON FLOWER CANDLE VARIATION

Inhale the positive moments of the day and let everything go with our freshly created flower soy candle batches. They have different burning capacities and were poured on auspicious Jupiter rising hour. Sprinkled with saffron flowers, with few extra scented oil drops of Copaiba and Chocolate were added to the batch.

Copaiba has earthy, balsamic fragrance and is known for its pain relieving properties. Copaiba oil-resin has been used as a native folk remedy dating back to the 16th century by the tribes of northeastern Brazil. The balsam and its essential oil are used as fixatives in soap perfumes and fragrances. The resin is burned in ceremonies for physical and spiritual healing, and many forms of the extract can be found in nearly every marketplace in South America. Sensual and warming Chocolate scented oil drops were added to uplift the spirits with deep and sweet aromas. Cocoa essential oil is able to stimulate the nervous system, it evokes the psycho physical wellbeing and for this reason it is useful against depression, tiredness and stress but is results also helpful for those people who feel stuck and too controlled in their behaviors.

The mighty Phaethon expands our vibrational parameters, while the Crocus sativus- golden saffron flower was known to cure melancholy, improve depressive moods and was ritually offered to divinities by the Minoan culture. The Egyptians used the golden flower as aphrodisiac in perfumes, medicine and body wash.

GOAT MILK HISTORY

From Ancient times until today, goat milk has been used not only an excellent source of nutrition but also for medicinal and cosmetic purposes. The healing properties of this milk have been so appreciated that Cleopatra took milk baths to make her skin look beautiful Goat Milk is common in European and Middle Eastern countries still today.

All milk contains natural emollients, vitamins and triglycerides that moisturize the skin. Goat milk specifically contains the highly effective moisturizer capric-capryllic triglyceride. Many generic soaps are effective at cleaning but very hard on your skin. The Goat milk soap removes the dirt and grim and replaces it with moisturizers. People with sensitive skin or eczema will greatly benefit from using goat milk soap.

Healthy ingredients that are found in goat milk include vitamins A, C, E and B. When you use the Goat Milk Soap these vitamins are naturally absorbed into your skin, making it soft and healthy.

1 GOAT MILK SOAP

This cold processed lye soap was made with Coffee grains, Raw Cocoa powder, pure essential Peppermint and Tea Tree oils, mixed with Goat milk, Coconut, Castor and Olive oil base.

The soap can be either with cocoa powder and orange peel cover, or with grained coffee, Aztec Bentonite Clay and Active Charcoal topping. Ordered by choice. In the Chinese Medicine, the Orange Peel has been used to treat a number of ailments, namely coughs, colds, anorexia and breast sores. For me Orange stimulates and refreshes me and I will always associate its aroma with hospitals. In a good way, for me the orange scent means energy, life, vitamins and life. Like a sunny orange sunshine color beaming in the gray-white hospital background.

Both Olive Oil and Goat Milk have been known since ancient days for their beneficial properties in the making of soap and cosmetic products. Using them both together makes a perfect combo, firstly because the goat milk acids rejuvenate old dry skin and the olive oil moisturizes and softens the hands. Non toxic. The soap should be tested individually in case of sensitivities.

Soap weights about 120 g, with measurements 6,5 x 5 x 3 cm. The gift box weights approximately 300 g, with size 17,5 x 11,5 x 6 cm.

How to care:
-Burning candles should always be in a safe place and never left unattended or with children/pets.
-Do not burn candle completely, and dispose of it when it reaches its base and/or holder.
-Crystals can charged by Full Moonlight/Sunlight, and cleansed with warm sea salt water and/or sage.
