♦ Copper is ruled by Venus and is often used in rituals for money and fertility. Venus is the planet with the lowest rotation. The character of the planet and goddess Venus is passive, receptive, magnetic, feminine, relating, adaptation to the other one, kindness and gentleness, enjoyment. The metal copper has a great connecting power: it easily combines with other metals and it easily transfers warmth and electricity (think of the copper in electricity wires).

♦ Cement: The word “cement” can be traced back to the Roman term opus caementicium, used to describe masonry resembling modern concrete that was made from crushed rock with burnt lime as binder. The volcanic ash and pulverized brick supplements that were added to the burnt lime, to obtain a hydraulic binder, were later referred to as cementum, cimentum, cäment, and cement. Limestone is a mixture of Calcium carbonate and calcium magnesium carbonate.

♦ Turquoise: According to Persian legend, turquoise is made of the bones of those who died of unhappy love. It is a stone of happiness. According to Aztecs, turquoise stones are “tears of goddess of the Skies”, a symbol of health, prosperity and love. Light blue turquoise is a symbol of spirituality. Almost all ancient civilizations associated turquoise with goddesses of love: in ancient Egypt – Isis, in ancient Greece – Aphrodite, in ancient Rome – Venus.

Onça Bell-Cauldron series are accommodating magical ritual practice to a new level. The series try to impersonate cosmically tuned accouterments through the complex use of material, shape and sound resonances. Each construct has been assigned to serve a certain musical harmony, cosmic force, through which the sensual experience of magical ritual, has been enhanced. Taking into consideration the use of sacred geometry and musical vibration, Onça Bell-Cauldron initiated series of alchemically assigned and versatile in their functionality cauldrons.

Berlin residing artisans came together to contribute with their crafts, in the making of 12 Onça Bell-Cauldron original pieces, assigned to different cosmic bodies. Onça remedial arts are exploring stories from mythology, wisdom and healing, in an effort to foster connection and understanding regarding our native ancestors and nature, vital to our future.

This cauldron N1 is dedicated to the Cult of the Mother. The Cult is recorded to date back to more than 30,000 years ago, as the feminine figurine found in Germany “The Venus of Hohle Fels”, which dates back to 40.000 years ago, and also “The Venus of Dolni Vestonice” some 30.300 years ago. There are more than hundreds of figurines around the World, which all retain the femininity of the Goddess. The Cult of Magna Mater is one of the oldest Cults we know of. The cauldron N1 is celebration of the Mother Goddess and her powers.

R I T U A L O R P H I S M

Materialism moves from West to East and Spirituality moves from East to West. In Astrology there are two different systems called Tropical and Sidereal. The Sidereal is considered to be the East System of discovering the Seed of the Soul Map and the Tropical serves as the chart of the materialized soul.

The Orphic Religion of the Thracian tribes had believe that everything is included into the divine. Every human has inside divine spark, which is the origin of this divinity and it has to be liberated from the body. The liberation of the body is possible, through series of rituals. The unique part of the Orphism is done only through music. The rhythm of 7/8 is very special beat and it is the rhythm of the heart chakra. M O U N T A I N M O T H E R

As legend tells, she was put as little child in the wilderness to die. But the wild panthers nurtured her. She grew up as strong, beautiful woman depicted usually with wild cats. She might have been child sorcerer or magician. Cybele was depicted with two lions, large breasts and strong posture, sometimes with cylindrical hat with pomegranate fruit in hand. She stands often between lyre and flute player, referring to lethargy. The cult of Goddess Cybele was accompanied by ecstatic dancing, music, phallic symbolism and the emasculation of her priests. Her cult started in Phrygia, which later evolved to the Magna Mater Cult in Rome.

The Temple of Magna Mater was Rome’s first and most important temple to the “Great Mother”. It was built to house a particular image or form of the goddess, a meteoric stone brought from Greek Asia Minor to Rome in 204 BC at the behest of an oracle and temporarily housed in the goddess of Victory’s Palatine temple. The new temple was dedicated on 11 April 191 BC, and Magna Mater’s first Megalesia festival was held on the temple’s proscenium. The procession of the festival included fasting, bathing and finally feasting.

The Megalesia, was a festival celebrated in Ancient Rome from April 4 to April 10, in honor of Magna Mater (Great Mother). The name of the festival derives from Greek Megale (μϵγάλη), meaning “Great”. In one of her festival worshiping priests was bathing in the blood of killed bull. Her followers were mainly male, who castrated themselves in symbolical worshiping rituals. The temple remained in use until the late 4th century. It was destroyed in 394 AD, on the orders of Emperor Theodosius I during the Persecution of pagans in the late Roman Empire

The power of Cybele, Matter Kubileya is unpredictable. She bring death or rebirth, she brought joy, sorrow, pity, grief and nurturing. She was unique by supporting eunuchs and double sex. Her celebrations mark the time of beginning of March with rites and festivals. First on the 22nd of March was celebrated the festival of Atthis with tree decorated with violets and wool on the Paletile Temple. Comparable to Palm Sunday. On the 24th of March was Day of Blood, or Good Friday, which marks the time of fasting and mourning and traditionally of emasculating of the flesh. Traditionally the next day was festival of Joy, corresponding to Easter. In ancient Rome, Easter was celebrated with sacrifices, dances and orgies.
